Happy One Month Old

I can't believe Janen is a month old now! Here are some things that we have noticed about our little girl's developments over the past week or so.

~She holds our gaze for longer periods of time and has even smiled briefly a few times in response to us smiling at her. Any day now, I know she's going to become a frequent smiler.
~She recently discovered that she can soothe herself by sucking on her tongue and thumb.
~In the last couple of days she's started blowing spit bubbles.
~She is gaining more and more control of her head & neck. When I carry her around in my moby wrap like this she doesn't like to have her head covered by the material. Instead she prefers to put her head back a little so she can look at me. It's so cute!
~Her favorite songs that we've discovered so far are.
Mozart - The Marriage of Figaro: Act III Ecco La Marcia.
Bobby McFerin- Don't Worry Be Happy
The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun
They work in calming her down every single time she's fussy.
~She is starting to grab at things and holding on rather then just grabbing when we stick a finger in the palm of her hand. She likes to grab my hair. Not looking forward to her grip getting stronger with that one.

Janen, we are so happy you have joined our family. We can't imagine our lives without you! We love you and are looking forward to watching you grow and discover new things. Keep up the good work love!
