I'm horrible at blogging these days. There is just too much going on or more like too much stress. It's difficult having to make decisions based on a unit of two rather than one. I've been wanting to switch jobs, but every time I get called for an interview somewhere I just don't feel right about it. A lot of my stress was coming from work, but I think I'm getting better at dealing with it. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right. I've decided to try and leave work on the shelf when I come home and only take it down when I have to return. It's proven to help me a lot, because the more I think about it. The more frustrated I get. But that's all I can say about that so moving on.
The Minnesota reception took place a few weeks ago. Everything turned out great! James has a great family ward and I was glad to see that there were so many supported people out there for him. (don't know if i can say the same for myself) His mom DeeAnn did a fabulous job with executing the whole thing. We had it in the cultural hall and she brought a bunch of plants, statues, garden decorations in and made it feel like an inside garden. The food was delicious, especially the cheesecake! I was pleased with the way everything turned out and I'm very grateful to DeeAnn for all of her hard work. Without her things definitely wouldn't have turned out as good. I was really tired during the reception because James and I got up at 4:30 that morning to hop on our flight so I don't really care to put pictures up of us from the reception because you can tell big time that I was tired. It's not easy having the same conversation with tons of people. And besides, most of the pictures we have are of the people and not of the actual decorations.
On a different note: I have already been put to work in my new ward. God must really like me as a Relief Society secretary because that's what I got! James and I are keeping our eyes peeled for housing in our ward, because we would really like to stay in the same ward until he is done at BYU. We both dread moving so we want our move in August to be the last for at least a couple of years!
I think that's about it! Hope everyone is well!
Sounds like life is crazy. Good, but definitely crazy. Glad you had a nice time in minnesota besides being super tired. Awesome calling, that should be pretty fun. Are you guys in a ward with lots of young couples, or older people, or what? You must like it if you want to move but still stay in that ward. Glad to hear things are going great!
ReplyDeleteWe are in a regular family ward, but there are a good handful of young couples so it's just perfect! Secretary two times in a row, I must need to learn something right? HAHA

ReplyDeleteLoved hearing your voice and catching up tonight. You do have the right attitude for work, you leave work at work. I will definitely call you when I go back to the Y for education days. Maybe we can have dinner together. Love you
