Color Me Rad 5K

Last month the three of us participated in this years Color Me Rad 5K. We made plans back in early March to be a part of the colorful festivities because we wanted to do something different. We always feel like we miss out on fun things because of our lack of extra money so when we found a buy one get one free deal we jumped on it! And luckily kids got to participate for free! We didn't get as colorful as we wanted to because we didn't want to overwhelm Janen. But all in all it was a great time. I totally planned on walking it the whole time, but it was just such a fun atmosphere that I couldn't help but jog. Janen was weary at first, which I think had a huge part to do with the fact that we woke her up in the morning before she was ready. But towards the middle of the "race" she was having fun. Here are a few pictures of our fun day!

 There was a truck throwing out free beach balls. I told James to go get one for his daughter so he ran up and caught one. Janen was very happy and held onto it the whole time!

 And here we are having an after race chat. We were cleaning ourselves up and getting changed into different shirts so I had Janen hang out in the back of the Mazda.

All in all it was a good day. We will definitely participate in the Color Me Rad 5K in the future.
