Janen is Eleven Months Old today!

Don't you just love that smile? It brightens every day for me.

Here's a little of what my little Janen-Bobanen has been up to this past month.

First snow experience. She honestly loved it! I took her out a second time and she just wanted to crawl and roll around in the snow and got mad when I picked her up. There was even a point when her bare ankle was exposed and she didn't even complain. What a trooper! I also had her lay down and make a snow angel and she thought it was hilarious, but didn't have my camera with me. I'll have to remember to do that again cause it was so cute.

Janen's love for playing with and in boxes has grown a lot. Especially since we had a few in our house around the holidays.
We upgraded to a front facing seat. We just couldn't wait until she was a  year old. She was so excited too and smiled for the first 5 minutes down the street.

Janen's first plane ride. She loved to look out the window at the beginning. We'll talk more about her love for windows later...
Waiting during our lay-over in Denver.

Here it is: Janen's window obsession. Even if she is tired, she always has to look out the window for a few minutes and bang on it. She loooves to look outside. If it wasn't so cold and the sidewalks weren't so icy, I would take her out more, but I don't necessarily have a jogger stroller that will make it easier to navigate over mounds of snow and ice. Poor girl. I guess the window will just have to suffice.
Janen's first convertible ride. Katelyn and Logan got this cool electric car for Christmas and Katelyn took Janen for a ride in it. It was so cute!
I got this coat on sale at Nordstrom rack. It was $19 and originally $50, I couldn't pass it up! Isn't it so beautiful and posh?

A few more things new about Janen this past month...

She has finally started reaching for us and crawls to the front door when one of us comes home after being gone for awhile.
She can crawl up stairs and sorta crawl down them with help.
She can clap and peek-a-boo with her hands if you place her hands by her face, but she can't do it completely on her own yet.
She dances regularly to music now.
She is starting to take a couple faltering steps here and there. Who knows...maybe by her first birthday she'll walk.
She is more playful than ever. She loves to play cat and mouse and either chase one of us or be chased.
She recognizes more words and can sound out the first letter of some of them. I love when she does "s".
She can say "amen" in sign-language and always recognizes when we pray over dinner and does amen in sign-language when we are done.
She is becoming more sensitive and bashful around people she doesn't know very well. This may sound crazy, but I think she knows when people talk about her cause she'll start crying if they make a comment or tell her not to get into something. I was a sensitive child so I think she might be the same.

This video sums up how much fun we've been having with Janen. We're so excited for her to learn how to walk. Who knows? Maybe this is the month she'll learn. She's already on her way.
