Janen is getting herself into a lot of trouble these days. The scratches on her face in this picture are proof.
Janen loves to pull this travel swing out all the time. She doesn't seem to understand that she is too big for it these days, but that doesn't stop her from flexing her muscles.
We are trying to work with Janen to get her to stand on her own. She gets so excited that she bounces a lot so it throws off her balance. The picture on the left was James trying to lure her to stand up. And the one on the right was her standing up for me.
Spending time with Daddy. She loves when Daddy lets her sit in his lap and play with his computer. And of course a cute silly face.
Janen just can't keep her cute little fingers off the Christmas tree. She loves it!
So we set up a barrier so she wouldn't crawl under the tree and get stuck.
We ordered a front facing car seat for Janen but held onto this box for a few days because she had so much fun crawling in and out of it.
I seriously love to watch my baby girl sleep (whenever I get the chance).
Janen has her four front teeth coming in right now and loves to learn how to put them to good use.
She loves to look outside any chance she can.
Isn't she so pretty? I think so.
Just a few things about Janen from this past month...
- She can cruise back and forth from furniture, but still no walking.
- She is starting to laugh when we tickle her which is so much fun for me!
- She is understanding more words and is pretty good at listening to us when we say "no" for the most part.
- She can sign bye, milk/ba-ba, and recently eat.
- She loves to drink out of a straw now. She has been doing good on the sippy cup for a few months now.
- She loves to be around babies her age or size and gets so excited around them.
- She finally has a normal bed time and goes down pretty easily. Finally!
- She has 6 teeth now (or almost the top four started to descend a couple of weeks ago so they aren't fully down yet, but I can't wait until they are because it's so cute to see her smile with them).
We were in the store one day and James put Janen on his shoulder and she started vocalizing. It sounded a lot like squeaky brakes. It was even higher than this.
I can't believe there are only 2 more months until her first birthday. This past month went by super fast. I am grateful for technology that allows me to keep a good record of my daughters growth and development because she is going to be in Kindergarten, getting her license and first kiss before I know it. James and I looked back on pictures and videos of Janen when she was only a month or two old and we've already forgotten how small she used to be. Thanks goodness for cameras!
What a sweet girl! I agree, I think she's beautiful. I can't wait to see you sometime soon. I miss talking to you!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is so cute! Absolutely adorable. I too am grateful for cameras cause kids grow way too fast!
ReplyDeleteShe is darling! I love her smile and how she cuddles with her blanky in the sleeping pic.
