Utah State Fair

Here are some pics from our fun Saturday outing. We were glad to get out and do something. We arrived at the fair around 2:30 and probably stayed until 10 ish. We met up with lots of family from James' side, but unfortunately, I didn't really get any pictures of them. I am horrible at remembering to take pictures. Be glad I have at least one of James and I. Here are some mementos for you all to enjoy.

Not the best pic, but whatever. We wanted proof that we were there. And we got the Ferris wheel in the background.
One of the artwork pieces that tried to bite James' arm off.
Can you believe this whole sculpture is made out entirely of butter!! And it was life size almost as tall as me.James and his brother Jared had some fun getting strapped to a harness with bungee cords and doing lots of backflips. My picture isn't that great because I was trying to hold Landon's binky in and take a picture at the same time while his mother was getting some shots of Jared from a different angle.
View of the fair from the top of the ferris wheel. The only ride I went on. :-(

In other news, just 8 more days until the ultrasound. I can't wait! I started working at a place called Kid to Kid in Lehi last week. It's a gently used children store and I'm so tempted to buy things for the baby, but can't until I know the gender. I don't have any belly pictures to show you (sorry). But I will try to take one and post it the same day I reveal the gender. I am already showing, but some people still think I'm really small for being almost 19 weeks. I guess since it's my body, I beg to differ. I know my belly is a lot bigger then what it used to be. I'm right on track according to my doctor. I guess my long torso just hides it well. :-) I have no problem with that!

Happy Trails to ya!

  2. :) Found your blog from Amanda Stewart's. I was in James' freshman ward. Congrats on the marriage and the new baby! It sounds like I'm just two weeks ahead of you, but I definitely understand the morning sickness thing. Hit me hard. My last HORRIBLE flare-up was 19-20 weeks, so maybe you're just about done. Here's hoping!
