Fourth of July

I am quite behind on some posts, but I have a good excuse with Elsie joining our family 4 weeks ago. Here's a quick recap of what our Fourth of July was like this year.

The riverton city was opening the public pool for a few hours of free swim. We jumped on the free bandwagon and joined Grandma, Emily and cousins Katelynn and Logan for a trip to the pool. Us ladies didn't swim so the charge went to James to deal with 3 energetic kids climbing all over him. What a good Daddy and Uncle he is.

After swimming we went back home to change. Here was Janen's Fourth of July outfit. I may be biased, but I think she's beautiful. Both of my girls are.

 After we changed we headed to Emily's and hung out. We had pulled pork sandwiches, lots of fruit and spent some time outside in the backyard and inside doing nails. Katelynn was having fun painting everyone's nails and Emily kindly painted my toes really pretty so they would like nice for our hospital stay the next day. But I forgot to take a picture of it. Darn.

 Once it got dark we headed to the park to watch Riverton's annual fireworks show. We brought stuff to make strawberry shortcakes for dessert (a tradition we decided to start last year). It was lots of fun for Janen and she couldn't stop talking about it for days.
