We had a super fun fourth of July around here. We got to see fireworks for several days and Janen is a huge fan. She kept asking for fireworks all day for several days. "sireworks, cool!" or "sireworks, outside?" She can't quite say her 'f's' yet.
The friday before we walked around at the freedom festival. Bought some yummy food and listen to some live music. They had a large area just for kids. Including a bounce house and a big truck full of sand and toys. Janen didn't like the bounce house because there were a couple of 4 year old boys that were just a little to rambunctious. But she had a blast in the sand!
The next day, we camped out at the Hinckely building to watch the Stadium of Fireworks. This year, they were AWESOME! They seemed twice as long and twice as big. It was worth the wait, sitting in the sun to save our spots, but we had fun playing cards, chatting, and eating strawberry shortcake with our friends.
With Daddy watching the fireworks.
On the actual day of Fourth of July we walked down the street and claimed a spot on center street to watch the parade. Janen's favorite float was the Little Mermaid float. It shot out bubbles. She wanted to run into the street and pop them.
Isn't she so cute with her sun glasses?
The Johnson's came and joined us. Warren and Janen are pals and like to feed each other snacks. We love Warren, he's such a loving kid and he loves Janen.
We had a fabulous fourth this year with wonderful friends. We are so excited for Janen to be old enough to play with sparklers, but for now we'll just watch the "sireworks" from a distance.
She is so beautiful!
