Janen's speech is growing at a rapid rate! It has been so fun to talk with her and see her little lips form around new words. Last night, I wrote a list of all the things she can say and counted over 60 words! 60! I always knew Janen was a little smartie, but she also just loves to talk. I've also noticed this past month how much of a little girl she really is. She loves shoes and jewelry and gets concerned when she sees someone crying or upset. She is polite and waits for someone to share a toy with her rather then snatching it out of their hands. She is learning to run and loves to go up and down the stairs when we hold her hand. She learned a couple weeks ago how to go down the one step off the front porch, but recently fell and is now afraid to do it on her own so she always looks for our hand. She loves to be read to and sometimes out of nowhere she'll just crawl onto the couch and snuggle into the side of us and lay down. I love it. Her favorite place to be is outside so we've been going out 2 or 3 times a day when the weather is nice. I must admit, I've enjoyed it to. I am ready for some more sun. Janen loves her daddy and gets so excited when he's home. Whenever we say family prayer she switches back and forth between us and also does this when we snuggle in bed with her. It's like she doesn't want either of us to feel un-loved so she tries to give us equal attention. She does this with her stuffed animals too, it's so sweet. I love my little girl and I am so excited for her to speak in complete sentences some day and to learn how to read. Being a mom is such a beautiful thing!
Aww, that is so great! She sounds like a very sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteReally...I think she's one of the smartest little girls I know! (Probably because her mom is so smart too. :))
ReplyDeleteWow, I really wish that I could be there and hear her say all these things. It's so cute when babies learn to talk. I think my favorite is that she knows ravioli (well, rah-rah).
ReplyDeleteWhat a little linguist:)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post! What a fun time for you! I agree, being a mom is wonderfull.
