Discovery Gateway Park

Janen got to spend several days with her Grandpa and she loved it so much. She even said, "Ga-pa" which we all thought was so adorable. We were happy to have Art come stay with us and get to see his grandkids that live in Utah. A couple of saturdays ago, we went to the Discovery Gateway Park. The kids had so much fun and James and I had fun watching Janen explore and being with family.

Riding in the fire truck. she didn't know how to put her legs down and walk with it though, so this didn't last long.
Pumping some water...if I would've let her, she would've put her hands right in and gotten wet, but she was too short and I didn't feel like holding her while she hovered over it.
Playing Plinko with Daddy. ;)
She loved the Melissa and Doug puzzles. Perhaps it's time for me to consider investing in some.
A natural musician. she knew that when she didn't bang on the surfboard looking things it didn't make noise.
Going shopping! This part of the exhibit was probably the cutest. It was a grocery story that was kid sized. Our niece loved it too and played the role of the sandwich maker at the deli. It was a hoot.

Shopping for some milk
And trying to climb into the refrigerated section.

And finally...
Janen's first pony ride.

Next time, we want to go to the Aquarium. Anyone want to join us?

  1. She is adorable! Just want to let you know. I recently bought some of those types of puzzles. They weren't melissa and doug brand but had the knobs and such. They are cheapest at walmart whether you buy one or a set with several! Sorry I know this is unsolicited information but I am guessing you are on a budget like us and thought it might help!
